Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
Question 1: Is the received device valuation offer guaranteed?
Answer: The offer is preliminary based on the information you provide and is confirmed only after a physical inspection of the device. The value is determined by the model, completeness, cosmetic and technical condition, as well as market demand. Therefore, if the actual condition differs, the price is adjusted accordingly (the offer is provided clearly, without hidden fees).
Question 2: What should I do if I can’t find the device I want to sell on your page?
Answer: Please contact us anyway—fill out the purchase form, call, or email us with the model, capacity, condition, and included accessories (add the IMEI/model or serial number if needed). We accept devices from many different manufacturers and will provide a personalized offer.
Question 3: What if the device doesn’t match the condition I assessed?
Answer: Our specialists will perform an actual check and provide an updated, transparent offer based on the real condition. The pricing is based on the factual condition of the device and the market situation, so the final amount may differ from the initial inquiry.
Question 4: How should I prepare my device before sending it?
Answer:
• Back up your data and transfer it if needed (e.g., using Smart Switch on Samsung devices).
• Remove accounts and locks: for iPhone/iPad, turn off “Find My” and perform an “Erase All Content and Settings”; for Android, remove the Google account (FRP) before a factory reset, and then perform a “Factory data reset.”
• If you have an Apple Watch, unpair it through the Watch app to remove the Activation Lock.
• You can remove the screen protector and add information about the accessories included (box, other accessories). If needed, we will help you with everything on the spot.
Question 5: Are my personal data safe when selling the device?
Answer: Data security is a priority. We recommend that before selling, you log out of all accounts and perform a full wipe (iPhone/iPad – “Erase All Content and Settings”; Android – remove your Google account and do a “Factory reset”). If needed, we can help you securely transfer and erase your data on-site, so the new owner can activate the device without any issues.
Question 6: How does “Fixas” test and evaluate products?
Answer: We evaluate not only the visual condition but also fully test the device with special diagnostic software to check all functions. The process:
Visual inspection – screen and glass, body, cameras, accessories/complete set.
Full diagnostics – touchscreen, cameras, microphones and speakers, vibration, buttons, ports, charging, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/cellular/GPS, Face ID/Touch ID (if available), sensors, battery health.
Technical specifications – capacity/storage; for computers: CPU/GPU generation, RAM, SSD, screen condition, keyboard/trackpad, battery cycles, and S.M.A.R.T. status.
Market analysis – real demand and market value of the model.
Based on this information, we provide a clear, transparent final offer. If the actual condition differs from the owner’s initial assessment, we adjust the offer and transparently coordinate it with the client before any decision is made.
Question 7: How can I recycle other electronic devices?
Answer: We accept devices for disposal/recycling, even those that we don’t buy or that are older than 2016. You can bring your devices to our workshop at Kedrų St. 5, Vilnius (Mon-Fri 9:00 AM-6:00 PM) or send them via a parcel locker/courier. Before we accept them, we can help you securely delete your data.
